At Auralex, they focus on the importance of environmental protection. These efforts are made everywhere: from their headquarters in Indianapolis, to the Auralex products you'll find in our Suffolk Holloway Design Catalog. Auralex knows your acoustical needs and are striving each day to do their part to ease your environmental concerns as well.
All Studiofoam products now include soy components which reduce petroleum-based chemical usage by up to 60% and lessen dependence on fossil fuels including foreign crude oil. This greener formula helps reduce global warming emissions, yet retains the longevity and acoustical properties for which Auralex is known.
Auralex Studiofoam is manufactured without harmful Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), which have been linked to the depletion of the ozone layer. In making the conversion over to the new Soy-based hybrid formula, these products now boast improved performance and durability over conventional petroleum-based foams.
The new Eco-Friendly Studiofoam is available in the same great color choices and cuts as the original with no increase in cost to the consumer. The new offering meets or exceeds the requirements of the demanding professional in terms of both product quality and testing data (acoustical and flammability).

Introducing Low Emission ELiTE ProPanels!
As the industry leader in innovative sound control products, Auralex is proud to announce a new and improved Low Emission ELiTE ProPanel. A new method of manufacturing eliminates the use of formaldehyde and phenol from the fabrication process. This breakthrough is helping Auralex to redefine the industry standard for fabric wrapped acoustical panels. The new ELiTE ProPanels emit a lower amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), achieving both GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality and GREENGUARD Children & School certifications. Lower emissions promote better air quality which has been cited by the EPA as a way to improve health and productivity in schools, homes and commercial buildings.
The new ELiTE ProPanels maintain their acoustical properties and "Class A - Fire Rating". They are manufactured using 35% "post-consumer" recycled material, and their absorptive qualities help reduce building energy demand. Low emission ELiTE ProPanels now comply with all LEED Certifications and can now be specified in LEED building projects, whether new construction or retrofit. The LEED green building program is a voluntary, consensus-based national rating system for buildings designed, constructed and operated for improved environmental performance.
At Auralex, they strive to find better solutions for the environment and your acoustical needs. The new ELiTE ProPanels represent Auralex's commitment to innovative green products.
This environmental push is also going beyond the products you buy. In addition to improving Studiofoam, Auralex is also making green efforts at their headquarters in Indianapolis by promoting the recycling of office paper, cans, bottles, catalogs, cardboard, and chipboard. We all know the importance of designing quality products, while still protecting our earth.
